There are signs of a strong future in the women’s game, after yesterday’s successful Under 17s Tackle Gala Day.
Teams from the Mid North Coast and Northern Rivers regions played three games each in a round-robin style.
The day giving the girls a chance to take on some fresh competition, with some stand out talent on display.
The event was a first for the four groups, with plans to grow the event to under 13s, under 15s and open women’s next year.
