Woman lucky to be alive after being struck by truck in Casino

A woman is lucky to be alive, suffering fractures and abrasions when she was struck by a B-Double truck at Casino, yesterday.

It’s understood the 39-year-old was crossing West Street, when she was hit by the truck’s trailer around 3.30pm.

She was airlifted to Gold Coast Hospital, where she remains in a stable condition.

The truck driver – a 33-year-old man – was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
