A pilot has been hailed a hero after making an emergency landing at Newcastle Airport – bringing down his plane on its belly.
The flight – bound for Port Macquarie – struck trouble just after 8:30 this morning, when he noticed the landing gear had failed.
But, all three people onboard not only survived the drama… they escaped without so much as a scratch.
