A plan to install fencing around the perimeter of Taree Park to reduce vandalism is moving forward.
Councillors will next week vote on a recommendation to allocate $100,000 from the Greater Taree ‘regional open space fund’ to help finance the project.
Council has already secured a $150,000 grant from the Federal Government.
For years the site has been targeted by vandals – the most recent attack came last week when the grandstand was set alight.
