Unions and workers from across the Hunter gathered in Newcastle today to commemorate their colleagues who died at work in 2023.
The family of 20 year old Harry McWilliam paid tribute to their son who was tragically killed at the John Hunter Hospital construction site last July.
But the group says a moment of silence isn’t enough – they’re calling for tougher laws to hold businesses and managers accountable.
