Tens of thousands have gathered at cenotaphs and local memorials across the country and around the world to honour the memory of all Australians and New Zealanders who have served their country at home and abroad this Anzac Day.
The Hunter honoured those who have fallen at a Dawn Services and marches around the region.
Anzac Day in 2024 marks 109 years to the day when Australian and New Zealand troops landed at Anzac Cove at the start of their ultimately unsuccessful invasion of the Gallipoli peninsula.
