A larrikin, a soldier… and a beloved son.
That was how Lance Corporal Jack Fitzgibbon was remembered today at his funeral in the Hunter, following his death in a military parachuting accident.
There was an extraordinary show of support for his family, with Cessnock’s catholic church overflowing with mourners… including the Prime Minister and Minister for Defence.
