Two Russian ice skaters from the Disney on Ice troupe are facing disciplinary action following an alleged assault on hotel staff and police last night.
At about 4am police responded to a call from the Newcastle Travel Lodge after two of the ice skaters refused to quieten down and stop partying.
The hotel staff asked them to leave again, when the two entertainers allegedly pushed the hotel staff as they tried to evict them from the premises.
Police arrived however the two men still refused to leave and allegedly assaulted police.
The skaters were then arrested and taken to Newcastle police station. The entertainment troupe, leaving for Queensland today, is set to take internal action against the offenders who will be removed from the company.
