WALKERS STEP UP TO HELP WESTPAC HELICOPTER SERVICE

A record number of scenic walkers

stepped up today to support the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter service.

From 7am, 16-hundred participants set off from Byron Bay, following the picturesque coastline to Ballina.

Some walkers opted for the shorter routes by finishing at Broken Head Reserve and Lennox Head.

All money raised goes directly towards supporting the lifesaving service.
