A toddler has died after sporting equipment fell on him on the New South Wales North Coast.
Police said the two-year-old boy was at a sporting oval on Albatross Way, Old Bar, near Taree, around 2pm on Sunday when a piece of equipment fell onto him.
The boy’s father called for help and nearby witnesses assisted with CPR.
The child died a short time later.
Police are preparing a report for the coroner.
