PRODUCT SHORTAGES KEEPING SHELVES BARE IN LOCAL SUPERMARKETS

Shelves in local supermarkets are looking bare as product shortages continue to impact shoppers.

Only a handful of sausages were available in South Tamworth Coles this week and there were even less options in the freezer section.

The Australian Meat Industry Council says it’s due to low staffing levels due to the pandemic.

The council has called on state and federal governments to prioritise Australia’s food chain production and supply.
