Police have charged a Catholic priest with indecently assaulting two teenage boys at a school in the Newcastle suburb of Hamilton, in the 1960s.
At around midday, police attended a Sydney address and gave two future court attendance notices to the 83-year-old’s legal representative.
The notices relate to eight counts of indecent assault on a child under 16.
The man is due to appear in Newcastle Local Court in February.
