North West celebrates International Day of People With Disability

Tamworth Youth Centre was a hive of activity today, celebrating International Day of People With A Disability.

The event aims to improve access to opportunities, including employment and sport.

Catherine Rae from Wheelchair Sports NSW encouraged those of all abilities to try out wheelchair basketball at the event. She fell in love with the sport after growing up in a horse riding family, but suffering an unrelated accident that left her in a wheelchair.
