FOURTH ARREST FOLLOWING HUNTER DRUG RAIDS

Four people have now been arrested following a series of drug raids in the Hunter Valley.
Five properties were searched at Largs, Rutherford, Dungog, Maitland and Port Stephens yesterday, as part of an investigation into the manufacture and supply of drugs.
Police allegedly seized more than $1-million worth of drugs, as well as guns and ammunition.
The Maitland clubhouse of the Gladiators outlaw motorcycle gang was also dismantled, with officers allegedly locating a large quantity of alcohol, fridges, furniture and outlaw motorcycle gang paraphenalia.
A 41-year-old member of the Gladiators has been charged with a string of offenses relating to the commercial supply of drugs, while a 49-year-old senior office-bearer for the Gladiators is facing four counts of possessing a prohibited weapon.
A 25-year-old man from Port Stephens has also been charged with several offenses relating to the commercial supply of drugs.
Meanwhile police have arrested a 53-year-old Tenambit man this morning.
He’s assisting them with their inquiries.
