Wet weather has forced Lismore council to close sporting fields across the shire for the second weekend in a row.
The news is a blow for organisers of several scheduled events including Goonellabah’s “Samson Challenge” which was to be held tomorrow at Hepburn Park.
The event which raises money for children’s charity “Our Kids” has been rescheduled for April.
Across the region a number of cricket, softball and soccer matches have also been called off due to the soggy conditions.
