Meantime, a quick response by Rural Fire Service crews this afternoon has saved a house from going up in flames on Catherine Street in Bendemeer.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before one, where a paddock was alight less than 100 metres from the home.
Three hectares of land was burnt before fire fighters managed to extinguish the blaze.
It’s unknown how the fire began.
