STAFF THREATENED DURING PHARMACY ROBBERY

Police are appealing for information, following an armed robbery at a Chatham pharmacy.
A man wielding a knife, entered the Oxley Street store just after nine o’clock yesterday morning and threatened staff.
He forced them to open a safe, which contained prescription medication and an unknown amount of cash.
It’s believed he fled in a red or maroon coloured Holden commodore, with registration plates bearing the letters ‘A’ ‘Y’ and the number five.
The man’s described as being in his 20s.
He was wearing a white tracksuit top and grey pants, with a black beanie and coloured scarf covering his face at the time of the robbery.
