Double the amount of night flying and increased aircraft noise disturbance.
Come 2025, that will be the reality at Medowie and Williamtown, thanks to the new Joint Strike Fighters.
The draft environmental impact statement for the F-35A was released today, as the RAAF prepares to introduce it at Williamtown.

I dont know if she was sincere or just having a whinge but he lady interviewed moved to Salt Ash in 1998. The F18s had been at Williamtown for at least 10 years by then and their noise emission was well known. I have no doubt that it is noisy at her place however the land was cheap due to the proximity of the Air Force base. I’m sure the value of her land would increase if the base was relocated… then she would only have to whinge about her rising land rates.
The RAAF has been there since the 1940’s and there has been a sign as you go past the base since early 1990 warning people of the noise. If she does not like the noise then move. You are responsible for moving there in the first place. Get a life lady. Are you going to pay for them to move. Grin and bear it.
These people defend your freedom, risk their lives practicing to defend, if you don’t like it, that’s fine sell up and move on, why moan about it?
