The NRL says it wants an immediate explanation after Knights hooker Danny Buderus signed as the ACT Brumbies collision coach for the 2013 season.
In a written statement issued late this afternoon the NRL says Buderus did not seek permission to enter into a third party agreement as the salary cap requires.
Earlier today, Buderus declared his intention to finish the season with the Knights, while pursuing the role in Canberra.
