Hot on the heels of a successful barrier trial at Broadmeadow, Melbourne Cup winner Protectionist will head back to the Victorian capital next week, to prepare for the Peter Young Stakes on February 28.
Meanwhile, fellow Kris Lees-trained galloper Lucia Valentina will return at Randwick this Saturday, in the Group Two Apollo Stakes over 1400 metres.
