An elderly man is in a serious condition in John Hunter Hospital, after spending the night in a creek, at Jewells.
It’s believed the 75-year-old fell down a three metre embankment, while walking through bushland off Murray Street yesterday.
Emergency crews were called at about eight this morning and pulled the man from the creek, before taking him to hospital.
He suffered hypothermia and a serious arm injury.
