Farewell Festival Loading…
Long regarded as the cornerstone of Newcastle’s live music scene, The Cambridge Hotel is going out with a bang this weekend.
Today marks the first of a three day festival that will bring some of Australia’s best live acts together, many of which have a special connection to The Cambridge Hotel.
The Cambridge opened in 1958 and was often referred to by locals as the Cambo.
It became the place to be if you wanted to see local up-and-coming artists and it became the launch pad for bands such as Silverchair and The Screaming Jets.
A live music scene that be missed by many and one that will hold a special place in many peoples hearts.
