HAMWICKS PRESSURE-FREE AHEAD OF TOMORROW’S GRAND FINAL CONCLUSION

They have their backs to the wall, but Hamilton-Wickham says the pressure is on Merewether heading into tomorrow morning’s final session of the district cricket grand-final.

“They’ve already won the game once and are in a position probably now to win it again. The pressure is on them, if anything, and we’re going to go out and enjoy ourselves and see if we can shake things up.”

Hamwicks need 75 runs in 10 overs with six wickets in hand, with Webber and captain Josh Trappel at the crease.

“They’ll be setting fields deep, which they can afford to do because there are no restrictions. They can only use two bowlers if they want as well. It’s going to be interesting. It’s a situation we’ve never been in before so we’ll see how we go”

Play starts at 10:30.
