A body has been located in the search for a missing man from the state’s mid north coast, it is believed to be that of a 65-year-old Yamba man.
The man was last heard from about 9pm Monday 5th June.
When he could not be contacted or located, officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
The body of a man was located in the Clarence River, Yamba about 8:20am this morning following extensive enquires and a multi-agency search by Coffs Harbour Water Police, NSW Police Divers and NSW Surf Rescue.
While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the missing 65-year-old man.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
