Artwork stolen from Bellingen

A artist suffering from stage 4 cancer due to open her first solo exhibition today, has been hit by a major blow.

Dubravka Sabljak’s car was broken into on Lyon St in Bellingen overnight, with two paintings – one of an eagle, and another of a pear – stolen.

Two cancer council raffle books were also taken.

Despite the setback, her exhibition opened today, at the Federal Hotel in Bellingen.
