Women’s group raising funds while tackling social isolation

Around 300 people in Tamworth will be diagnosed with cancer each year according to the Primary Health Network – but transport and costs continue to be the biggest barriers for many needing treatment.

Today, a local women’s group joined for morning tea to raise money for cancer patients and local services, while promoting the importance of social connection in country towns.
