Four non-for-profit cars stolen
Investigators are appealing for information after four vehicles were allegedly stolen over the weekend from a non-for-profit organisation at Hamilton North.
Police were told the vehicles were taken from Clyde Street some time between 9:30pm on Friday 19 May and 9am Saturday 20 May.
The vehicles taken were two 2020 Kia Cerato sedans (one white and one silver), a 2020 silver Toyota Corolla sedan and a white 2019 Kia Sportage SUV.
Police from the Newcastle City Proactive Crime Team located one of the Kia sedans following inquiries around 11:50pm Sunday on Light Street, Bar Beach.
Following further inquiries, Newcastle City Proactive Crime police were called to Robert Street, Jesmond, about 6.30pm yesterday (Monday 22 May 2023), where they located a second sedan.
No one has been arrested or charged in relation to the thefts.
