SIMSON BRIDGE OPENS TO TRAFFIC

The $1.6-million Simson Bridge upgrade has been unveiled at Breeza.
In a joint project by Gunnedah Shire Council and the Federal Government, the former wooden concrete structure over the Mooki River has now been replaced.
The new dual-lane bridge will link Carroll and Breeza, and is expected to benefit local farmers.
“This bridge will make an enormous difference to the producers in the Breeza area. Higher mass vehicles will be able to travel across the river here now much more safely and ultimately that helps with the production of the region,” Mark Coulton, Federal Member for Parkes.
The bridge is now open to motorists with line marking to commence soon.
