BORDER DECLARATION PASSES CAUSING CONFUSION

New border entry rules are causing confusion for those living on the cusp of New South Wales and Queensland.
Any person entering either state, including those crossing over for work, must now fill out an online declaration form.
It’s a quick process for most – but while Queensland forms are valid for two weeks, New South Wales permits must be renewed every three days.
Northern Tablelands MP, Adam Marshall, says there needs to be more consistency.
“I’ve asked that we align that, so that it’s exactly the same… 14 days, 14 days… or three days, three days. Whatever it is, so that it’s consistent.”
His call comes as councils in the area push for a ‘border bubble’ to be reinstated.
