A student was allegedly assaulted by a teacher at a Maitland school yesterday, after a fight broke out between the pair in a classroom.
Police said the brawl unfolded at Maitland Grossman High School, and appears to have been sparked by a paper fight.
Footage of the incident, filmed by another student, has emerged following the incident.
The teacher, who has since been charged, can be seen grabbing a teen by his collar and pulling him down onto a desk.

Later, classmates can be seen rushing out the door.
The student involved in the incident was assessed by paramedics. He was not physically injured.
