In Forster a bushfire has caused the main road into Green Point to be cut off.
Firefighters and six aircraft are working to contain the blaze, which has torn through five hectares of bushland since mid-afternoon.
The Lakes Way, just north of Green Point, has also been closed, with police diverting traffic back into Forster.
