NORTHERN END OF PEEL ST TO REMAIN CLOSED DURING TCMF UNTIL 2020

Businesses on the northern end of Peel Street have welcomed council’s decision to keep the strip closed to traffic during the Country Music Festival.

A report at last night’s meeting recommended the street be opened between Bourke and Brisbane Streets, but it didn’t receive the support of councillors.

Tamworth Business Chamber has put its hand up to manage the northern precinct and will be in charge of entertainment and activities in the area.
