A Taree couple is reinforcing an important safety message for young drivers, after their daughter was killed in a head on collision.

Di and Graeme McMurtrie have been visiting local schools, to help save more lives behind the wheel.

Born and bred in the Manning Valley, Rob Douglas joined the Taree bureau in June 2021 after a short career in print media. He joined the Tamworth team in July 2023. Rob graduated from Charles Sturt University in Bathurst in 2016 with a sports journalism degree.
