Cessnock District Rescue Squad were called to an animal rescue at Cliftleigh where a 4 week old Border Collie puppy had managed to get himself stuck between the water tank and the house.
The volunteers made quick work to get the puppy out, using their animal snare and rescue pole.
He was assessed and reunited with the rest of the family, unharmed from his ordeal.
He has now been named “Tank” as a lasting memory.
