Two men found dead in separate caravans in NSW north
Two men have been found dead at a caravan park on the NSW Far North Coast.
Police were called to Ski Lodge Caravan Park in Chinderah, in the Tweed Heads Shire, after a man was found unresponsive around 12.30am.
When officers arrived they found one man dead in a caravan and another man dead in the neighbouring caravan.
The bodies are yet to be identified but police believe the men are aged in their 50s and 60s.
NBN News understands both men were permanent residents of the park.
“A crime scene has been established and an investigation has commenced into the circumstances surrounding the incident,” police said.
Forensic investigators spent the day combing the crime scene to piece together what happened.
The investigation is continuing.
Neighbours say the men were friendly and their deaths are “strange”.
“I woke up and the police and ambulance were dealing with it,” resident Dane Tuteki said.
“I was pretty suspicious that they were both (there at) the same time.”
