A car crash on the Far North Coast has claimed the life of a woman at Alstonville.
Police say the woman was driving along Teven Road when she lost control of the vehicle, hitting an oncoming truck.
It’s not known if speed or wet weather caused the crash – but police say it’s a timely reminder for motorists to take care.
“It’s certainly atrocious driving conditions at the moment. This is a brief period that it’s not raining now but five minutes ago you couldn’t see two foot infront of you so if you don’t need to be on the roads, please don’t go out on the roads”
The truck driver escaped unharmed but was taken to hospital for mandatory tests.
