A man in his 20’s has undergone surgery and remains in a critical condition in hospital, after being struck by a car on the Central Coast.
Police believe the man, aged 23, was with four other people on the side of Wallarah Road at Kanwal, about 11:30pm last night, when an altercation occured.
The man ran out onto the road and was struck by a van.
Members of the public assisted the man until he was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition and underwent surgery.
The 28-year-old man who was driving the van was taken for mandatory blood and urine testing.
