TEENAGER BEATEN WITH HAMMER AT LONG JETTY

A teenager has been beaten with a hammer during a wild street brawl at Long Jetty.

Police say a group of young men were walking along the foreshore near Swadling Street, when a fight erupted with another group.

During the scrimmage, a 19-year-old was hit in the head.

He was treated at Gosford Hospital for facial injuries.
