Come Monday, bookworms in the Byron shire will have a brand new place to put up their feet.
Today, mayor, Simon Richardson was given the grand tour of the new library – which has been more than a decade in the making.
“We have increased the amount of books available compared to the last Byron Library, massively – we’ve also got a fantastic exhibition space – we’ve got break out quiet spaces.”
A community celebration will be held next Saturday, to mark the opening of the new facility.
