TORONTO WORKERS CLUB MEMBERS IMPACTED BY PRIVACY BREACH

Toronto Workers Club says letters have now been sent to its 20,000 members, notifying them of a data privacy breach.

It follows reports hackers may have stolen personal details during cloud-storage testing of the club’s poker machines by provider, Aristocrat.

It’s understood patrons’ names, addresses, dates of birth and passport numbers were accessed by a third party.

Aristocrat says software it was developing had been “accessed without authorisation”.
