YOUNG RFS VOLUNTEER IN HOSPITAL AFTER BEING STRUCK ON HEAD AT MOONBI

A young RFS volunteer is recovering in Tamworth Hospital, after being struck by a falling tree branch.
The 18-year-old man was fighting a fire on Gully Road at Moonbi last night when the incident occurred.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to the scene at around 7.30pm, after paramedics struggled to reach him.
He was stabilised and flown to hospital.
The fire is now burning at an ‘advice’ level.
