Xavier Catholic College recognised for operating as evacuation centre & makeshift hospital in February flood disaster
Xavier Catholic College has been recognised for its contribution in February and March’s flood disasters.
The school operated as an evacuation centre for up to 700 displaced residents, as well as a makeshift hospital.
The school sustained infrastructure damage during that time – with the state government today locking in more than $200,000 for repairs.
