HUNTER MAYORS MEET FOR SECOND CITIES FORUM

Affordable housing and combating homelessness were on the agenda today, as the Second Cities forum wrapped up in Newcastle.

“There is an issue as cities grow around inequality and making sure on the social side that we address that inequality through affordable and social housing, through programs that target zero homelessness, and all of that component comes with being a smart, livable, sustainable city of the future.” – Cr Nuatali Nelmes, Lord Mayor

The conference drew community leaders and academics from across the globe.
