Armidale local Kiara Tanikomave has just been selected for rugby league’s Indigenous All Stars side.
After stellar performances in last month’s Koori Knockout, the frontrower will train every second month to compete for even higher honours.
2014 was only her second year playing rugby league.
“It’s heaps good. I mean the more girls get involved, the better. It’ll be good, you don’t see much League for women.”
Tanikomave and her Armidale Rams team mates are still waiting for the competitions committee to set a date for the local grand final.
