The aviation community is reeling tonight, following news an experienced helicopter pilot has died in a tragic crash in the Hunter Valley.
Tributes are flowing for 51-year-old Peter Wieland, who built an international aviation company based on the Central Coast.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has now deployed a team of investigators from Canberra – to piece together how the crash occurred.
