Taree teens take to the sky with Manning River Aero Club

It’s certainly not a traditional school holiday activity but this week, dozens of Taree teenagers will take to the sky with Manning River Aero Club.
Encouraging more to join the club, instructors today showed what it’s like to fly a Cessna aircraft.
“We’ll show them the other planes and do a pre-flight check and practice taxiing it… flying it in the air is different to driving it on the ground,” club president Gary Tonkin said.
The sessions are part of the State Government’s ‘Holiday Break’ program.
