Acclaimed Olympian puts Taree Little Athletics through their paces

Taree Little Athletics members have been put through their paces by one of Australia’s elite sprinters.

Olympian Melinda Gainsford-Taylor hosted a running clinic at Taree Recreation Ground today, as part of a regional tour.

She said a proper running technique is essential in all sports.

“If I can give that little bit of knowledge to kids in these regional areas hopefully they’ll take it away they’ll use it and help improve,” she said.

Gainsford-Taylor also gave a talk about her illustrious career.
