FOOD HAMPERS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS FACING HARDSHIP IN LISMORE

Thousands of emergency food hampers are on their way to international students facing hardship across regional New South Wales, including in Lismore.

The State Government has donated $100,000 towards the project.

With Foodbank experiencing a 78% increase in demand for emergency food relief since the pandemic hit.

“Those hampers that we’ve been delivering have made the difference between whether they eat or don’t eat for a week,” Food Bank’s Chief Operating Officer, John Robertson, said.
