Darren Russel-trained greyhound Tripum has edged out race favourite Mitcharlie Mia, to win the 2016 Lismore Cup.

Jumping from box three, Tripum quickly found the rail and went on to win the $40,000 race by a neck.

“Tripum in front. Here’s Mitcharlie Mia home on the inside. Tripum in front. Tripum, I reckon Tripum just lasted.”

Punters who backed the winner collected $13.60 for their effort, while the trifecta paid almost $220.
