WEATHER: GETTING HOTTER AND STORMIER

Heat is increasing and so to the storm development.
Afternoon storms over the Great Dividing Range are now consistently firing up and these isolated cells are rolling off the eastern slopes and across parts of the western slopes, reaching some populated areas.
This activity, along with the hot northerly winds, will continue, coming to a crescendo at the end of the week with a widespread rain-belt moving through.
There is the chance to pick up follow-up rain early next week from another system.
Hi Gavin, Just thought I’d let you know that by the end of November we have had the lowest rainfall since l started keeping records (in 2001). We are on property just south of Nabiac and have only had 736.7 mm till 30th November, so I hope the predicted storms bring us a lot of relief and fill our dams. The previous lowest reading was 913.6 mm in 2010. Big difference!
